The remains are surrounded by agricultural land and covered with banana and avocado trees. Among the finds on the site is a 3,500-year-old Canaanite palace. However, there is little evidence to connect this event with the destruction at Tel Kabri. More recent historical accounts indicate that past earthquakes have had devastating conse-quences in the proximity of Tel Kabri.
